Mechanical Engineer-Design:
Wire Harness and Power Cable routing design for an electric truck. Parts creation and structuring within V Volvo Product Design Management software, KOLA. Work with the project engineering team to define the different truck variants architecture characteristics. Performance and geometrical studies to review compliance with SAE, and ISO standards on each truck variant for vocational and land transportation. Problem-solving design from current production trucks. Creation of BOM, drawings, and instruction documents for manufacturing processes following GD&T. Work within the engineering team to create and modify 3D Layouts for packaging of each program truck variant. Preliminary design and FEA of concept parts. Execute component implementation into the system through cross-functional coordination with other teams. Implementation of a new engine based on a Product Modification Request PMR. Coordination with Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Custom Engineering teams to implement changes and release them for Production.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering with twelve (12) months experience. 40 hr/wk, $70,886/yr.
