Apex Color is a wholesale printer operating in Jacksonville, Florida. Celebrating its 50th year in business. We provide commercial printing and business forms for the trade throughout the Southeast.
We are seeking candidates for a paper cutter operator role. In this role, you can expect to use Saber, Wohlenberg and Polar guillotine paper cutting machines to cut large press sheets to predetermined sizes for further processing (binding, stitching, etc.).
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (with some flexibility) Monday-Friday
Job duties/responsibilities:
- Read, analyze, and interpret work tickets and understand job specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and operate flatbed cutter, and/or other bindery machines to process printed sheets into final product.
- Uses (guillotine) paper cutter to trim press sheets to appropriate sizes
- Performs preventative maintenance on paper cutting machinery such as blade replacement, lubrication, and waxing.
- Troubleshoot issues when need arises.

Requirements:
- Must be able to pass background and drug test.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-years experience operating guillotine cutter machines.
- Knowledge of all procedures required to safely operate a guillotine cutting machine.
- Knowledge of other bindery equipment including folders and saddle stitchers preferred.
