Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,680 - $3,864 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,680 - $5,783 per month
  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Chair of the Counselor Education and Rehabilitation Department and the lead work direction of the Administrative Services Manager, the candidate will serve as the department resource person for performing a variety of administrative and technical duties requiring compliance to academic and administrative policies and maintaining continuity in policy and procedures in support of the department.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels with the ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the department, school, and University
  • Possess reliability, punctuality, self-motivating, and leadership skills.
  • Work independently; involving use of judgment and discretion.
  • Proficient in use of office software packages (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat), computer (PC or Macintosh) and on-line systems to enter data and generate reports.
  • Working knowledge of written standard reports, correspondence, and thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling with the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform standard business math, such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data, and make simple projections.
  • Independently organize and prioritize multiple work assignments and projects required in all major duties and responsibilities.

Education and Experience
  • Graduate of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or equivalent combined with at least three years of recent progressive clerical experience with a wide variety of duties and responsibilities.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess a baccalaureate degree.
