Police Property & Evidence Technician Part-Time

The City of Mentor is seeking an individual to work part-time as a Police Property & Evidence Technician. Work involves the control, receipt, storage and release of Police Department evidence and property, along with documenting these activities in a computerized records management system. Duties include occasional court testimony, local transportation of property and equipment, video evidence review and exercising some oversight of vehicle fleet and building maintenance. High school diploma or GED and valid Ohio driver’s license required. Strong recordkeeping, computer skills and knowledge of police evidence handling procedures preferred. Must pass background check. Position requires approx. 25 hours of work per week Monday-Friday. Starting rate of pay: $18.50 per hour. Application deadline: end of business day October 15, 2021.
