Assistant to the Dean of the Carol Grotnes Belk Library
Elon University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant to the Dean of the Carol Grotnes Belk Library. The Assistant to the Dean provides all administrative and office support for the library dean, including answering telephones, receiving visitors, scheduling appointments, composing correspondence, assisting in managing department budgets, ordering services and supplies, processing payments, and coordinating arrangements for meetings and special events. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating library operations, including service desk and event scheduling, and student employment and act as the primary contact for questions and concerns about the Belk Library and Koenigsberger Learning Center facilities maintenance. A bachelor's or associate's degree plus demonstrated relevant work experience or training. The selected candidate will demonstrate high attention to detail, outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, written, and oral), and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Must be able to learn and implement new technologies. Proficiency in or ability to learn Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel will be an asset.
