Campus Recreation & Wellness provides quality recreational and educational experiences designed to positively impact the development of Elon students and contribute to the wellness of the campus community. The Coordinator of Peer Health Education & Health Promotion is an essential member of the Campus Recreation & Wellness team, working alongside the Associate Director for Student Wellness to supervise the student peer educator team and support health promotion efforts.

General Purpose of Position
The Coordinator of Peer Health Education & Health Promotion is an essential member of the Campus Recreation & Wellness team, working alongside the Associate Director for Student Wellness to supervise the student peer educator team and support health promotion efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and delivery of peer health education training, using the NASPA CPE (Certified Peer Educator) model
- Supervise the SPARKS mental fitness focus group, which includes weekly team leader, full staff, and focus group meetings, as well as the coordination of programs and health promotion efforts
- Schedule, plan, and deliver health promotion programs, particularly around suicide prevention and other mental health programming
- Assist in general health and wellness promotion efforts, including HealthEU, Timely Care, Campus Recreation & Wellness, and other department and university initiatives to support student wellness and well-being
- Assist with substance use prevention and recovery programming until a collegiate recovery coordinator is in place
- Actively participate in Student Life, Campus Recreation & Wellness, and Student Wellness meetings
