Job Summary/Purpose: The HR Associate performs a wide variety of administrative activities in the Human Resources Department in overall support to certified staff and to the Chief Human Resources Officer of the District.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
Knowledge/Skills: Broad knowledge of principles and practices of sound Human Resources management as well as school law, state and federal statutes related to employment
Experience: 1-3 years of appropriate related experience; advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and office administration
 
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administers daily employment activities of the HR Department for certified staff 
  • Works closely with the payroll and benefits departments to ensure accurate records
  • Maintains accuracy of the District's position control, HRIS system and payroll tables
  • Processes annual teacher and administrator contracts 
  • Conducts screening interviews and onboarding for all substitutes, service agreements, and auxiliary employees
  • Conducts weekly onboarding meetings for new teachers each hiring season


This position works 12 months per year. Daily hours are typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday
Salary: $21.50 per hour through June 30, 2025 / $22.36 beginning July 1, 2025
