Product Manager, Subscription Products
What You’ll Do:
As a Product Manager on our Subscription Products team, you will develop products that create a compelling value proposition for subscribers. You will collaborate closely with our partners in Marketing and other divisions to optimize existing products and features and build and execute upon an ambitious roadmap. You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy and the personal drive and charisma to make your vision a reality.
Accelerating our subscription business is an important and high-profile area of focus for Gannett. You will be laser-focused on delighting subscribers with exclusive features and experiences that promote retention in this role.
You Will:
- Develop and implement features, products, and consumer experiences that strengthen the value proposition for subscribers.
- Build products and features that cultivate habits that promote engagement, conversion, and loyalty.
- Develop and enhance methods to capture and utilize customer and audience needs, wants, and desires to inform product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, resolve conflicts, and remove impediments for development teams.
- Manage day-to-day interactions with the development team to define user stories and acceptance criteria, groom backlogs, prioritize features, conduct user acceptance testing, and evaluate product performance.
- Collaborate closely and openly with business owners and other internal stakeholders.
- Manage engagements with third-party partners and consultancies supporting selected projects; represent Product in discussions with vendors and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics in partnership with internal stakeholders and use this data to improve existing products and identify new product opportunities.
You Have:
- 2-5 years of experience in developing and managing consumer products.
- Bachelor's degree (MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferable)
- Demonstrated successes with defining and launching excellent products
- The ability to think critically and constructively about complex business problems, interpret analyses, and present solutions that address business needs.
- Experience identifying, analyzing and using data to independently test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success with attention to detail.
- A knack for synthesizing and prioritizing stakeholder requests.
- A passion for user-centered design
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
- A bias towards action.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $55,688 and $131,531. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
