Process Improvement Engineer
Improve efficiency of company's assembly processes ensuring on time delivery without external rejects utilizing industrial and systems engineering principles. Lead and conduct Kaizen events for improvement. Identify and resolve problems conducting thorough analysis, conducting time studies and defining most robust processes that have lesser lead times and efficient assembly operations. Develop standardized processes and communicate any changes. Utilize various process improvement and quality tools using a structured DMAIC process to identify potential opportunities for improvements. Study station layout and manpower requirements to ensure the products are assembled efficiently to meet customer needs. Promote 5S culture to encourage visual management, organized work area, reduced transportation, efficient material flow, ergonomic and safe work stations for efficient assembly environment.
Qualified Applicants must have a BS in Industrial Engineering and 3 years of experience supporting process improvements in a manufacturing/Assembly environment and Proven experience working on continuous improvement projects implementing lean manufacturing concepts with focus on problem solving, root cause analysis, 5S and waste elimination. Ability to use DMAIC techniques and other statistical tools to analyze and solve problems. Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the value stream including maintenance, warehouse and production teams to drive change. Experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures for production lines. Ability to perform the job duties of the position.
