The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for leading all digital marketing efforts including social media, website content creation, and digital advertising. The Digital Media specialist will increase the impact and visibility of the College by building the organization’s brand and increasing stakeholder engagement through digital channels. As a member of the Marketing Team, this person will contribute to and assist in implementing the overall marketing and communications plan for the college.
Duties/Functions
  • Serve as a member of the Marketing and Communications team. 
  • Create and implement digital media campaigns according to priorities 
  • Coordinate and implement the creation of all digital content such as website, blogs, podcasts, infographics, videos, digital advertising, and social media. 
  • Work closely with web administrator to create content and support web presence 
  • Write content for campaigns and posts 
  • Maintain and manage all social media channels 
  • Ensure brand and message consistency and accuracy in digital content
  • Liaise with departments across the College and external vendors 
  • Solicit quotes for advertising and other projects, follow College purchasing procedures for payment 
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media technologies and latest trends
  • Develop and monitor ROI and KPIs 
  • Regularly track and get insights into competitors’ strategies
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the AVP for Marketing, Communications, and the Foundation.

• There are many requests from various departments. Prioritization and strategy are critical. 
• Quick turnaround and accuracy required

• Daily: marketing team members (AVP, Marketing, Communications, & the GTCC Foundation, Marketing and Communications Coordinator)– collaboration, updates, assignments 
• Daily: college faculty/staff with marketing requests 
• Weekly: contracted vendors – collaboration, updates, assignments 
• Bi-weekly: Marketing team meeting – collaboration, updates, assignments
Education Required
• Associates degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Education Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media or relevant field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Required
• Minimum of three years applicable experience in marketing, digital media, advertising, or relevant field or a combination of education and experience. 
• Experience in social media and content development  
• Experience with content creation and management
Experience Preferred
Experience in digital advertising a plus 
KSA Required
• Basic graphic design 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills 
• Must be creative, flexible and have strong writing and editing skills
KSA Preferred
  • Basic video and editing skills for content creation 
  • Working knowledge of media editing software
Department/Job Specific Requirements
