Essential Job Functions
- Tutors students on specific course content, course-related readings and course-related written assignments
- Tutors students in the area of academic success skills (e.g. learning strategies, time management, etc.)
- Coordinates tutoring goals with advisers, academic counselors and faculty to effectively meet student needs
- Attends tutor training sessions and staff meetings, as applicable
- Administers individualized tests to students with accommodations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemistry or in a related field of study
- Ability to tutor general chemistry and organic chemistry
- Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations
- Ability to tutor analytical chemistry
