The Lincoln Trail Area Development District (LTADD), a multi-jurisdictional, planning and development agency, headquartered in Elizabeth-town, KY, is currently seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the programs of the LTADD under the direction of the Board of Directors. Located in the heart of Kentucky and the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, the LTADD is a collaboration of local leaders and staff educating and empowering communities by implementing quality services through specific areas of expertise in Aging and Independent Living, Community &Economic Development, Transportation Planning, and Workforce Development. LTADD serves local governments and citizenry in Breckinridge, Grayson, Meade, Hardin, LaRue, Nelson, Marion and Washington counties. The region is dynamic and growing, with an attractive mix of small urban and rural environments. Major economic impacts are occurring through Nucor Steel, Blue Oval SK, Fort Knox and the bourbon industry. The successful candidate must have administrative and supervisory abilities and demonstrate diplomacy and sound judgement. Candidate should have knowledge of the physical, economic and social aspects of the counties in the LTADD. The position requires the ability to work primarily with state government and 14 other Area Development Districts. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, planning or related field with a Master’s degree preferred and/or relevant and necessary experience in public administration, planning, economic development or related fields.
This position will require a criminal background check. Compensation for the position will be competitive, based on qualifications and experience.
