Job Duties
The Academic Advisor will be responsible for:
- Providing educational and career guidance by planning course schedules
- Helping students explore career paths
- Provide students with information about campus resources e.g. financial aid, counseling, tutoring, student activities, etc.
- Advising students about academic requirements and selection of courses
- Disseminating information on institutional policies and procedures
- Integrating a strengths-based advising model with other advising models
- Assisting students with career planning Make students aware of scholarship and internship opportunities
