- Loads wash machines for washing of linens, ensuring that proper weights are determined and used.
- Selects correct chemicals and chemical amounts, also selects the correct linen category and wash formula for the tunnel wash system and dryers.
- The incumbent monitors the Ozone Washing System and reports any deviation in work schedule or equipment malfunction to supervisor, operations manager, or director. He/she assists with keeping work area and equipment clean to ensure a safe and presentable area.
- The incumbent keeps records to indicate pounds processed and to document productivity, also prints out a report of loads processed in the tunnel at the end of the shift for records in the laundry.
- The incumbent should be able to read and write, complete simple math calculations and possess the ability to understand laundry procedures.
- The incumbent should be able to operate complex equipment.
- Computer knowledge is also very helpful.
- High school graduate, GED, and/or experience is highly recommended.
