Loads & Settlement Analyst
At Otter Tail Power Company, our employees support the communities we serve by producing reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible electricity. In this role, the Load and Settlements Analyst will review hourly generation and load data.
The Load and Settlements Analyst will:
- Investigate, document and correct anomalies.
- Develop and document the official MISO load profile record.
- Monitor the forecasting tool accuracy for OTP load and LBA load.
- Validate accuracy of monthly MISO and SPP settlement statements.
Qualifications:
- We’re seeking candidates with a wide range of skills who are motivated to deeply understand complex information while aligning with our core values: Integrity, Community, Safety, Resourcefulness, Customer Service and People. Minimum qualifications we’re looking for include:
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, computer programming, business, math, statistics, or accounting.
- Experience with data query and manipulation tools is required.
- Qualified applicant should have experience related to metering, settlement and/or financial applications.
- Familiarity with Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) market administration processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of electric energy system elements and energy & power metering are preferred.
