EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
CRITERIA: The following criteria, which are not the sole criteria used in the final hiring decision, will be used to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Workforce Development Institute's specific industry certification is preferred.
- Three years of experience in the Workforce Development Institute's specific industry (Hospitality Construction, Transportation, etc.)
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of the specific industry of the Workforce Development Institute
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills; good judgment and initiative and ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize workflow and delegate tasks
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate with diverse populations, including negotiations with businesses; ability to anticipate rapidly changing markets and flexible enough to adapt to them

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Reports on the direction, budget, and or contractual arrangements of programs between PGCC and outside business, agencies, or associations to the leadership of WDCE and the college
- Presents conceptual models for training and development to senior leadership of the institute's industry
- Convenes and presides over conferences of industry leadership, stag and other concerned individuals on issues of education, training, development, or community concern
- Develops, and conducts orally and in writing business presentations regarding current and/or future development program
- Orchestrates activities of the executive advisory board (EAB)
- Develops long-range planning for the institute, including budget and financial considerations, as well as personnel needs
- Performs periodic analysis of programs and services offered by the institute
- Conducts assessments of businesses and or agencies to assist in determining the level of proficiency of their current training and development programs
- Develops annual reviews of business sales process, delivery process, budget process, and post Assessment
- Maintains a continuing responsibility of moving prospective businesses through a sequential development process of interest, assessment, education, post assessment, and closure
- Maintains trusted authority in helping clients meet their employee training and education needs
- Represents the college in community “town meeting” type of venues to translate the college's programs, policies, events and/or services. Answers questions from community residents, and follow-ups with community and college leadership regarding issues raised
- Develops and implements concepts, strategies, and plans for new courses, programs.
- Manages all aspects of the delivery of a program or grant, whether open to the public or offered by contract to a business, government agency or professional association including all delivery methods (classroom, distance learning and other) and on- and off campus locations
- Performs related work as required.
