Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health Information Manager. As the Health Information Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of medical records in a hospital setting. This is a vital role that ensures accurate and confidential documentation of patient information.

Duties:
- Supervise and train a team of medical records clerks
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the organization and maintenance of medical records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations
- Review medical records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established standards

- ICD-10 coding knowledge and accuracy
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or updated information
- Maintain paper medical record system and ensure data integrity
- Monitor record retention schedules and facilitate the secure disposal of outdated records
- Collaborate with other departments to improve workflow processes related to medical records management
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in medical record keeping

Qualifications:
- A registered HIM Administrator, a qualified HIM Technician, or HIM personnel with ten (10) years of equivalent experience.
- Proven experience working with paper medical records in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare documentation requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare professionals at all levels

_Experience with paper medical records is required.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
