The Department of Information and Technology Management (ITM) at The University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business invites applicants for the tenure track assistant professor in Information and Technology Management area to start in fall 2023.
The ITM department offers undergraduate degree programs in management information systems, business information technology, financial enterprise systems, and cybersecurity. This is in addition to master’s degrees in cybersecurity, business analytics, and information and technology management. The department has just moved to the newly constructed technology building in the fall 2022 that has state of the art cybersecurity labs and computer classrooms in addition to Security Operations Center (SOC). The Sykes College of Business is accredited by AACSB and the MIS program is accredited by ABET.
The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities include teaching three four-credit hour courses at graduate and undergraduate levels during each semester in different areas in information systems such as management information systems and managing the IT organization. Other possible areas could be project management and introduction to business statistics. The faculty is also expected to be involved in publishing articles in high quality peer reviewed journals and engage in service and student involvement opportunities at the department, college, and university levels.
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. or ABD from an AACSB/ABET accredited school in the field of Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related fields.
