Administrative Personnel for Safety and HR Department
Basic administrative/communication skills, bi-lingual/Spanish a plus.
Requirements and responsibilities:
• Strong communication skills, computer proficiency MS Word, Excel, typing, filing and able to travel/drive among warehouses when needed.
Duties cover 7 facilites: Trinity, Archdale, Lexington, Linwood, Winston-Salem, Royal, UFIT
• Manage and maintain Workers Compensation program
Manage safety committee, monitor safety programs, coordinate training
• Incorporate special occasion training when possible (i.e. Electrical safety month, National safety month)
• Coordinate and assist with Wood Bandsaw training
Investigate all near misses
• Maintain files for all Incident reports
• Order all safety supplies and equipment (verify orders received from coordinators)
• Assist supervisors with safety related needs (i.e. employee issues/training/ problems with vendors)
• Liaison between employees and management
Eyewash Inspections
• Maintain safety bulletin boards at each facility providing a fun way to appreciate safety.
• Input training into AS400
• Provide impromptu training when walking through facilities. I focus on empowering employees to make safety their own and own it.
• Conduct documented site inspections weekly
• Receive/Review OJT
• Maintain trust and confidence with all levels (employee/supervisors/management) by keeping sensitive issues private. (Do not gossip about people or situations that you encounter in your safety role)
• Monthly review of maintenance requests. Advise management of any prolonged open issues.
