The UWFC and The Forsyth Promise is looking for someone to work collaboratively with community agencies to guide and manage the strategic development and implementation of a system of K-12 education for Forsyth County. Individual will take a lead role in all aspects of the K-12 Action Network.

This is a new position that will report to the Executive Director of The Forsyth Promise and work collaboratively with community agencies to guide and manage the strategic development and implementation of a system of K-12 Education (K-12) for Forsyth County. This includes: supporting policies and programs that ensure equal and equitable access to classroom services and supports that promote high-quality education and learning opportunities, a well-trained (and compensated) workforce, parent/caregiver engagement and involvement, and an infrastructure that supports coordination and alignment of services and resources across systems.
This individual will play a leadership role in all aspects of the development, implementation, and maintenance of a highly successful K-12 Action Network that will be representative of a broad-base spectrum of the community e.g. parents/caregivers, family members, civic leaders, businesses, faith-based organizations, students, etc. to ensure all children, K-12 has access to a safe, high quality educational learning environment(s) and opportunities and resources that help foster and promote educational success for all children. Building on a robust existing base of work by non-profit, labor, government, and higher education organizations to strengthen the K-12 sector, this position will connect with all stakeholders to use data and expertise to generate and manage a strategic plan that ensures that all of the essential pillars of an effective K-12 system are advancing for the benefit of children. This person will also be a primary advocate advancing the cause of children.
