Job Summary
UKIA is currently seeking motivated graduate students to join our paid Student Audit Assistant program as early as May 2023. Each Student Audit Assistant is expected to maintain a full- or part-time student status and work 20 hours each week during the semester/summer term. The position would be renewable each semester until graduation, based on performance.
Each Student Audit Assistant will be assigned to a team and would assist with accountability, conflicts of interest, consulting and assurance services, or infrastructure services. Student Audit Assistants must sign a confidentiality agreement and exercise discretion.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assisting with audit planning by performing university, regulatory, and industry research
· Assisting with audit fieldwork for objective evaluation of university processes and related controls (both remote and onsite at client locations)
· Preparing audit workpapers and documenting university processes with adherence to required quality assurance standards
· Creating workflows and flowcharts to map out processes, etc.
· Assisting in preparation of materials for meetings with UKIA's clients and partners
· Completing other duties as assigned

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills, and be able to handle multiple priorities as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Advanced usage of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with Visio, Photoshop, and website editing a plus
· Strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Self-motivated and able to transition between independent and team-based work
· Ability to multi-task and contribute to multiple projects concurrently
UK Internal Audit ( UKIA) assists university management, administration, and the Board of Trustees in the effective discharge of their fiduciary and administrative responsibilities by providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services with respect to evaluating risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
No
Preferred Education/Experience
Prefer experience in business, accounting, communications, information technology and/or auditing experience.
