Position Description:

The Research Administrative Assistant for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS) in the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships (OCEP), Cherokee Mills site will provide administrative support to the Cherokee Mills Program Coordinator in a community-based setting. The purpose of this position is to provide support for critical community engagement projects in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS) and in the College of Social Work (CSW). The individual in this position will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of collaborative programs at the off-campus Cherokee Mills site.

Responsibilities:

· Provide administrative support to the Program Coordinator, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings, making copies and packets of forms and handouts, scanning documents, and a variety of other office tasks and duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

· Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.

· Assist with communications with community partners and participants (e.g., emails, creating and mailing documents, paperwork, and newsletters).

· Assist with event planning (e.g., recruitment events, training programs, and information fairs).

· Perform basic research tasks, including recruiting study participants, screening, interviewing, obtaining informed consent, searching for published literature, compiling annotated bibliographies, inputting data, and maintaining databases.

· Translate project documents (e.g., interview transcripts and recruitment posters) from English to Spanish and provide spoken translation services for clients in a variety of settings (e.g., office, workshops, recruitment events).


Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:

· Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently (Spanish-English bilingual).

· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

· Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software and technology skills.

· High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
