Position Summary:
A Post-Doctoral Fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Devanand Sarkar in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics and the VCU Institute of Molecular Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine. The focus of this position will be to study gene function and evaluate therapeutic strategies in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Required Qualifications:
- New PhD graduates with strong background and expertise in cell and molecular biology and biochemical techniques as well as experience in CRISPR-Cas9, nanoparticle-mediated siRNA delivery and working with mouse models are encouraged to apply.
- Must have a demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in past experiences or a commitment to do so as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at VCU.
- Candidates who are eligible for NIH-sponsored training grants are preferred
