Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a full-time instructor to teach welding technology courses, including introductory and advanced welding, rigging, print reading and safety courses such as shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and pipe welding inspection and testing; advise students; and develop and implement curriculum based on industry needs. Additional duties include purchasing and managing inventory of instructional equipment and supplies; engaging with community partners and stakeholders; and maintaining program alignment with industry/AWS standards, which will include attending required professional conferences.

Requirements include an associate degree in a relevant field; three years of full-time industry/welding experience (6,000 hours); and certification as an American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE), or ability to obtain one of these certifications within one year of hire. Three years of additional full-time industry/welding experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Preference will be given to applicants with teaching or training experience.
